On the farm
BE SELF SUFFICIENT
With the ever rising cost of food it only makes sense to raise your own if you have the resources to do it. There is always the option to lease land from local property owners as well but that will affect your overall costs. The easiest animals to raise are chickens and sheep. They don't take us too much room, are fairly cheap to feed and require the least amount of effort. Rabbits would fit in this description as well except they can multiply very fast, adding extra pens and food costs if you are not careful. And then there's beef.....raising beef is extremely satisfying. Can be cost effective if you have the pasture and local feed available. Adding in the extra butchering cost may keep you on the fence though.
